I did a 2E conversion on my k-jet 8v over a year ago and as a temporary measure simply cable tied the WUR to the rad hose so that it is sitting between the alternator and coolant flange.

A year later it's still there as I haven't come up with a more permanent mounting solution, I would leave it there if it weren't for the fact that I've had to repair the wires twice due to the fact that it moves around a bit with the vibration.

Any suggestions on a more permanent fix that doesn't involve welding or fabrication?

    Thanks for that.

Is that the TSR blanking plate?

I think you've got it in the right place. As long as it's getting a good approximation of engine temp from the hose, that'll be fine [:D] If the wires are snapping, are they a little bit too tight? Tie it on a smudge further up the hose?

I made my own blanking plate which has worked fine.
