Hi, this is only my second post so please go easy on me! ;)

I know this topic has been covered a million times but because there seems to be so many different opinions I have decided to ask the guys in the know..

I've recently bought a 1991 Mk2 Golf Gti with the intention of tracking it. I've done a 20vt conversion before on a G60 Corrado, and I used a standard G60 clutch & gearbox which seemed to take the abuse well, but because the Golf will be tracked I have decided I need a stronger setup.

    My questions are:

I'll be using an uprated AGU engine with around 350bhp. What would be the best/cheapest/readily available gearbox to use?

    Which driveshafts should I use?

I'm sure you guys will be able to help. I promise to get some pictures and a thread going when I get into it!

PS, just managed to bag a complete Audi A3 1.8T with an AGU engine. Bonus!
