Been on here for quite a few years, This is my 3rd mk2, Had a Corrado VR and MK1 Caddy also. Had to sell my last mk2 to fund a baby wagon Came into some money so treated myslef to yet another mk2, This one has been fitted with a BAM out of a Cupra R with OE managment, MK4 tdi gear box, G60 brakes, It came with G60/Passat steel which I kept on for a few months go with the sleeper look. Got bored of them so bought some AC Schnitzer type 1 alloys. I knew the lad who originally did the conversion so sort of bought it blind of its last owner, It was not 100% but was happy to have a tinker. First parked up on my drive, Was so low I had to raise it get it off the drive and to be able to drive the dam thing, thankfully it had a shallow sump fitted! After the suspension the first job was to replace some the boost pipe work, All fitted, Have since fitted new top mounts It had a boot mounted battery, The original cable was tiny and it struggled to start. Made a gauge holder to go inplace of the ash tray, Fitted some proper size tyres, Killed the front mount so fitted one of these, Cheers son..... Only picture I have of the seats, Got an app for my iphone to read the ecu so needed a holder for said phone, New side badges, Leather steering wheel, needs re dying or trimming but it was cheap! One or two bits collected! Bought these of a chap via ebay who was the nicest guy ever. Had a car collection to die for!! 2 Lamborghini Countach's, a BD5, E30 M3, Mk1 Cooper S to name a few. He let my 2 year old have good nose round his cars, walk round his garage and even let him sit in his Hummer! They dont look how I pictured them in my head but they are growing on me And this brings me almost up to date, No pictures of replacing wishbones, ball joints etc ( thankfully my mate manages a Euro Car Parts! ) Thanks for looking if you have got this far!
Mk2 knob on a mk4 shifter, Sucker for details, Extremely well made 02j quick shift that I make fit. Wiring problems
An opportunity has come up that I don't want to miss out on so putting this up for sale, will be writing an advert this weekend, however if someone would like to cross my palm with around the 4800 mark I'll be a happy boy!!
So she's still here. In short this happened. And that's up to how it stands today. Need to pull my finger out as she's on daily duties from 1st may. Next job is to refit the Bee sting as the last owner had the hole welded up.
Nice machine, and a great bike too - one of the best front ends ever on the ZX7R And if you have done your 22yrs, congrats!
Cheers mate, they make a great pair! I only did 12 years, say only like it's not long at all. Regretted leaving from the moment I drove off base for the last time.
Good effort. I always say if you can make it work on the outside then you're better off. Best of luck! It suits me so I'm staying in (but may regret it!) Just been to the festival of Bikes at Prescott Hill Climb today, the start of summer! Have a good one.
Quick up date, Refurbished my steering wheel, Night before the MOT standard **** and panic, First bath this year... And park up post mot pass! Only got to change a ball joint which has lasted 1000 miles..... Cheers for looking
Cheers mate. Getting it done by vagtronics next time I'm up seeing my mum. How's your Rado looking Mr?
Glad you've still got it! Rado is fine, still looking like a 200k car in desperate need of paint but it's running beautifully. A turbo would be nice though...
