no its goes against the whole understated thing about the corrado its awful put std bodywork back and leave it alone . years ago some company did a ltd ed mk2 polo breadvan which actually looked good was a handling exercise at the time, i think

You have to understand this was an in house design excercise though. VW always do things like this, walking around their R&D must be immense fun, just for the novelty!

    Cool.
    Just ahead of it's time.
If they'd tried for that shape 8 years later they'd have done it when everyone else was doing more rounded cars and no-one'd blink twice.

totally amazing what they did get up to back then, what a way to get paid, building anything out of the spare parts bin, with not much concept of budget!

makes you wonder just what might be getting built this very week, R32 passat. no we have one of them!
maybe a turbo & super charged 1400cc golf, no again been done. maybe a 4.2 AWD Polo![:D]

i quite like it, subtle it certainly isnt and if it were from the modified scene i would say they should smooth that big bumper/grille thing into the wings to avoid that dodgy gap, but its pretty cool looking.

other things from that site are well cool, i want my golf to do this!! i reckon a hacksaw and a couple of hinges from b&q should do the job.

i agree with Ian B on this one, a more standard looking front end and that would look dam good!!!!!!

the wide arches and rear end look spot on, and yes it may look a little like max power's project mad max but id get over it, and there is nothing wrong with NUGGET YELLOW its a seriously cool colour
