Hurrah, the two positive responses from Polo drivers kind of gave it away
    though...

    Its a Salzmann wishbone/subframe conversion.

Sorts the polo's handling weakspot (the '70s escort TCA/ARB combo), and
stiffens the key twisting point on the chassis too. All in an essential bit of
    kit. Pricey though [:^(]

Its a shame there's not a UK manufacturer of such things. Put it this way -
without it Polo's get slated for sloppy handling/torque steer/vagueness
etc. , WITH it they're often picked over golfs in germany for track use [:D]

What kind of price range are we talking for these things?

I hope you're going to post a pic or 2 of it fitted eventually! :)

touch over 600 for the main kit... not cheap, but i'm looking at making a
jig to build my own now I have one. Its TV certified, which must really
add to the cost for such a limited production thing.

no the ARB is different too, it can be run with or without - some are of
the opinion that on a hard spring setup the polo is better with only the
rear ARB, but I bought the front as well, because I'm like that.

I've heard that about a lot of front drivers, very tail happy I'd have thought and dead scary too...

is it for the yellow machine, or have you got something else up your sleeve...

Nah, the yellow one's driven wheels are at the other end, so the problem
    is much less evident.

This is for a little bronze Mk1 Polo I've had a while - it'll be finished in a
similar way to the Derby - wide arches, cage, retro-race style, just a bit
more road-useable (couple of bits of carpet and a heater!) I've got a
turbo converted G40 engine waiting to go in, and I've now nearly
completed the suspension picture too... Only thing my money hasn't
stretched to yet is an LSD for the 'box [:^(] Ah well, we'll get there [:D]
