^^ ah such a classic, I too was a laguna boy - for some reason I thought they handled better than the other cars lol. I like the way they managed to make it looks like the wheels are about to shake themselves off the car in an attempt to make them look like they were turning!!! shocking graphics, mucho's fun
sega rally - sega saturn, IMHO still the best vehicle dynamics in any console game, if only it had more tracks

I'm sure there are many more from my youth ! These days, its Forza 3 by a country mile.
use virtual pc and install win98 on it Games that stick out for me are: V Rally on PSX Motorhead on PC Mariokart Wii (can provide muchos laughs) I did enjoy some bits on GT3 & GT4 but they do have some very tedious and boring bits
RIDGE RACER!!!!!!!!! o man i used to stay up epically late playing this!!!! you ever stuck the disc in a cd player? it plays the songs! then it has to be gt2 then the forza series didn't like gt3 onwards tbh
it was not!!!! come on forza 3 they used lasers to scan the cars to make sure they looked perfect inside and out!!!! at least i can play mine how long have you ps3 lovers been waiting for gt5.............yep still waiting!

GT4 was good, the addition of 'NOS' for the Fast & Furious generation was not... and I think 24 hour races! I mean wtf! if I recall you could even the PS to do the driving for you?!?!?!? I seem to remember getting a few laps in, using all the NOS up and leaving it running overnight to win a race - bonkers, gaming for middle managers... Best racing game though is Mario Kart. very old now, obviously unrealistic, but one of the most playable games ever made IMHO. I'd like another version to play my mates on, but I'm not getting a WII for it.
