I often wonder if the same is true for people who live near truly spectacular sights like the grand canyon?
I quite liked bolton. Bought a mk1 legacy turbo there years ago. When we rolled into town in the battered old defender the police started following us. I thought we must have looked shady at first, but they were just giving us a police escort until we left. How nice of them!
An area not far from me called Brieghtmet used to feature regularly in Police Interceptors or similar show lol
Brackley - the ar$e end of nowhere lol halfway between Oxford (posh, expensive) and Northampton (****hole). Claims to fame - the current home of Mecerdes F1 team, never seen any F1 drivers in Tesco over the road though. About 7 miles south of Silverstone. No, I've never been to the Grand Prix. Typical small market town, once you get sucked in you never leave even though you moan about it every day. My family's from "oop norf" and I went to university (who'm I kidding, polytechnic..) in Manchester, where everyone thought I was from London with a cockney accent. I'm not sure what my accent is but it ain't cockney (guv'nor). I tried to explain I was about 80 miles north of London but they wouldn't have it. I'm closer to London than they are => I'm a cockney.
Well I'd agree with that myself to be fair.. Birmingham seems to be the North/South dividing line I think. But they seem to have the worst of both worlds! lol
