I am looking to get either Weber or Dellorto carbs, Can anybody running either give me a generally outline of there setups, i.e. 40's or 45's, what venturi size, jet sizes, etc.

I know all engine vary depending on mods, this will be going onto a pretty much stock 8v GTI

    Cheers.

dont know too much about jets etc...i just let the guys at the rollers sort them out.

    on a standard 8v i think 40's are enough.

40's are all you'll need for an 8v, unless it's revving to about 9000 RPM

i had 32mm chokes on an 8v. These were fine for standard and lightly modded with a cam.

I was actually going to try smaller chokes at one point to try and improve mid range torque.

As for jets i can't remember what i had, but just get it down to a decent tuners and they will sort it out on a rolling road.
