I've recently got my bike carbs for my 2.0 16v, from a ZX9R I need to know how big I should drill the jets, as I've heard 1.6 and 1.8 so I'm not sure what'd be best And which jets to drill (asin where are they on the carb assembly) pictures would be fantastic
on your original bike carb thread someone posted up a link from a vauxhal mag which is very helpful its a guide by boggs bros i think
Hadn't seen that, ta, and cheers to whoever posted it [] Assume it's the same thing for ZX carbs, any differences I should expect?
i'd say between 3 and 5psi, if you can get hold of the bike pump from the same bike as the carbs and run that being fed by a lift pump it will keep the pressure right, or get a pressure reg as bike carbs don't like pressure fluctuation
I've heard R1 carbs will only run at 3psi from my mate who has done this to a 16v, and I'm told they're so temperamental, so I need to know exactly what ZX9R's run at so I can get mine right first time...
hi ive got 2.0 16v with zx9r carbs running on a R1 pump at the mo, took out the original pump and put it in its place, used the existing wires too, it works fine but not had mine set up yet so cant say whether it will provide the fuel at the top end, only 35 with built in regulator and filter so not bad really, let me know how you get on,
I ran 3 psi with Honda CBR 900 Keihins , on a 2.0 16v Zetec in a Mk2 Escort . With the main jets drilled to 1.8. Then we bought jets that size , as the angle and taper of the hole in the jets are supposed to be critical.
