Iv'e never used the proper stuff. just the polish they sell in Halfrauds. I wasn't impressed with it at all & then found out afterwards that it's just re-labelled Turtlewax [8(]

    I feel so conned [:^(]

Depends which zymol you're on about, theres the cheap stuff from Halfords or the full on mega expensive stuff direct from zymol, I've used halfords zymol car wash and think it is very good, I will be trying the polish wax soon, but I don't have the credit rating to use the super dooper stuff

Anyone got proof about Zymol being re-labelled turtlewax? I hear it time again but haven't seen anything about this.

The cheap stuff from halfords is good blows any turtlewax pooe out the water.............but thats only if you know how to use it. If you can't be bothered to read the instructions it'll look poo with streak marks.

The proper stuff is a million miles away from the halfords cheap stuff. I use the cheaper carbon wax but as with all the waxes this does mean buying HD-cleanser to clean the surface before applying the wax.............its a lot of work! But if anyones seen my car on show and shine you'd see the results.
If not convinced put your normal polish/wax on half the bonnet then try the other half in the zymol wax after HD cleanser.............you will notice the difference.

I don't think the myth of Zymol being turtle-wax is true.

Halfrauds only stock the Auto Wash and Auto Wax, as they are the "affordable" items. But there's nothing cheap about them.

The Auto wash from Halfrauds is what is best to use in most weather. especially winter.

The cheap wax does a decent job, but in order to use the more expensive Carnauba range, it's best to use HD-Cleanse to prepare the surface and then wax it - it "can be" hard work (depending on how neglected your paintwors is at that moment in time), as Dave has mentioned above, but the results are very good.

And you don't have to use HD-Ceanse or the expensive wax everytime - do it once in 3-6 months, depending on how frequently you clean your car.

A weekly or even fortnightly wash and wax with the cheaper Halfrauds ones and you should be fine.

Phatvr6 uses zymol, just a shame he's got limited web access now!!

Autoglym stuffs ok, just be carefull with the polishes though, they do thin the paint quite fast if u press on really hard!!U can get a really wicked shine with the stuff though!

Autoglym is chalk based thats why is impossible to get it out of plastic trim and window rubbers.

I use that blue Zymol stuff from Halfords that smells of coconut... Every couple of months or when I can be bothered! It makes a massive difference to my Mars Red car - brings the colour right up and it seems to last for ages. Thumbs up from me

i use hd cleanse then carbon wax and its the nuts.

i used to use the halfords zymol polish because i used to work
there. it is bottled in this country by turtle wax but is not the
same product as is doesn't use solvents unlike the turtlewax.
