i love this car!!!! and who ever said "why do you want a high revving no torque, unreliable engine" in reference to a honda v-tec is off thier trolly.

I think most will agree, that the corrado is the best handling FWD VW, couple that to arguably the best naturally aspirated engine going and you have a seriously fun car

Awesome mate, something for me to aspire to with my corrado turbo trackcar plans!

Have you managed to lose much of the weight from the front bumper x member and weight in both bumpers.

Are those wishbones and other bits from SCCH? They look good pieces of kit.

Who made the cage? Custom Cages jobbie or someone local in Ireland? CC have blueprints for a very interesting FIA international spec cage that looks very good.

Good luck with finishing the build, such an awesome project, hope to see it in action at some point.

@ Pologtracer, Ye i chopped a lot out of the rear bumper crossmember but left
just enough to mount it :-)
Didn't want to go as mad with the front one as wanted a bit of strength in case
of an impact, still managed to get rid of a nice bit of weight tho. I also cut out
the centre section (behind the numberplate) of the front bumper cause i want
to put a grill there to allow more airflow to the rad and future oil cooler.
Cage is a Custom Cages fitted by the lad i bought the shell off. The cage is
FIA approved (as soon as i send off the paperwork to CC and then get it back)

@prof That woz my idea behind fitting the rad so low :)

Sweet build mate. The more I see these track car builds in white the more I am tempted to paint mine that colour.

Those v-tech engines are mega reliable, plus you can get a bolt on supercharger kit for them.

Do you mind me asking where and how much you paid to have the custom drive shafts made?

@MK1G20VT I wasn't dealin with the actual man that made the shafts. It was
a lad that gets this fella to make shafts, gears etc for himself and others.
My local engine builder gave me his number. He got shafts made for loads
of lads doing RallyCross (supermoddified) over here in Ireland.
They cost me 600. obviously the lad i was dealin wit is takin a cut but
    sure what can ya do.
