Throttle bodies we are talking about here are single throttle per cylinder type - like DCOE's but fitted with injectors. Carbs would be ok though - this engine spec should hit 200hp quite easily with a well built engine.

Joe, it'll be interesting to see vellys power runs with the carbs

the k-jet should provide more accurate fuelling and thus a better power spread, really over carbs but i haven't seen any carb plots yet to see.

Hmm I was thinking the DCOE's would give almost the same advantage of throttle bodies power wise albeit with less scope for mapping of fuel etc. Wouldn't really matter about low end torque or anything as you're talking about a track only car.

Maybe see 210BHP or similar with that sort of setup I was hoping.

Mostly going to be down to whome you buy the ECU from and their preference/experience with said.

The T'bodies themselves are bolt on just like a manifold would be. (some small setup of phasing thats all) - bobs your granny.

F.A.O. ROBt I am having a 2.0l 9a engine built as we speak by an ex-vw motorsport mech. they r called protec performance and are based in walton le dale. They are 3 strong crew and the knoledge they have with vw engines is very impresive. They do loads of racing and rallying and i am sure would undertake any engine rebuild to your spec. p.s. walton le dale is near preston in lancs.

    Bill,
I`m running a RE2000 KR with no knock sensors etc.

Does your set up come with all appropriate items that i would need.
Would i need to purchase any thing else, if so what?
