mk1 caddy 24v turbo 4wd project ,stress...56k warning

    bit late now, but you weren't tempted to mount the shifter ontop instead of underneath. If space was an issue?

    cheers guys ,well lol i was going too ,but id roughly a 1inch of room so thought sink it a bit ,make anoher tunnel then weld it in place ,as id have only have cut more holes in the bulk head for the cables ,as id sooner have them underneath ,mind its getting tight ,exhaust well ill have to have a re think on that one:lol:

    I was wondering about the exhaust, thought you might be having some crazy side exit pipe behind the front wheel.

    Are those Ford engine mounts? Which model?

    which one chris? on the box or the chassis leg?#

    the box mount is the std 02M unit.

    hi guys lol right those rubber mounts are the cheepish ones i could find there off a landrover lol 3.61 including vat for the pair ,and i fitted another pair at the other side ,and have to say its very solid just with them four fitted,so with another 3 fitted to the front and rear im hopeing it shouldnt be moveing any time soon ,,

    only home made mike i carnt affrod all the nice bits so ,looks like ill have to make them instead lol,,

    yes i reckon that too ,as ive ran out of room on the rear bulkhead to get a 3inch pipe down there ,ill make one :lol:

    just started on mounting the rear diff and axle

    prop too short lol so ill soon sort that little joby out,,

    cheers jon ,it works perfect too ,,beats the old 4spd mk1 stiff linkage ,lol ,be better with some lower seats too ,,hopeing it may handle like a skateboard lol,

    not mutch to add untill i sort some steel 2moz ,,
    started to weld nuts in for rear mounts and decided i wont it lower ,stress lol ,ill re sort this 2moz

    only had a a bit of time as it were getting dark so made a quick restart on the short runner ,had to angle the box for the air flow ,which one day may be runing

    and found a stronger coilpack pack for better spark gaps 40,ooo ,instead of my 10,ooo one ,rough idea of how it will be wired lol
