I think someone should buy this to increase the 8v numbers. I would if i had the space. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1984-MK-2-VOL...iewItem&pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3cae578da8
A quick snap of the (ever-growing!) fleet... (L-R); Mk3 TDI - 1.9 litres of 90bhp, 8v goodness (8v torques + Diesel torques = UBER torques!) Mk3 Cabriolet - 1.8 SPI. HPI report proves 8v torque rules; apparently it has 70bhp, but 140lb/ft of torques!!!...* Mk1 Cabriolet - 1.8 Digifant. Bit of an odd-ball Europe only (AFAIK) engine. Still the 112bhp we all know and love with plenty of 8v torques. Mk2 GTI - Started out life as an K-Jet 8v. Proved impossible to kill and saw off a couple of gearboxes, and three clutches with it`s torques. Now houses another 8v (x3-4) engine... For reasons of parity and fairness however, the GF has herself a Corrado with a lump of ABF-goodness up front that I fitted a while back. She loves that car as you can see, and doesn`t let me near it, but I can forgive her with that ass... So all I`m missing now is a triumverate of 6-pots (12, 24, and 32v) for the full set. *Caveat emptor... This is obviously a typo/mis-calculation...
Notice your lass has to wear very lightweight shoes to make up for the lack of torque from that ABF engined Fat Scirocco.
My missus had a strictly controlled diet to maintain her size 8 figure required for riding shotgun in the valver with only feeble KR torques... She is now banned due to being pregnant and fat. Power/weight ratio would be in tatters otherwise
Please sir if you would mind not swearing in this thread the words (valver 16v) are not tolerated here
