    GTI 8v Owners

    I am new to the whole refurb of MK3 GTI 8v, could do with a few pointers the black Mk3 looks lush. Mine is Blue but is showing lots of hair line scratches around door handles. Got the engine belts all replaced, brakes renewed and replaced the induction kit with a KN. Its the body panels that are letting it down. I have bought the panels to replace but have been told that i will need to get the whole car resprayed. Any opinions?[:s]

    This is my 8 valve daily driver, I've only had her a couple of weeks and already she's in for a gearbox rebuild.:o

    She's a pretty standard Anniversary, the only mod is a Remus catback system and a butchered stereo loom. Aside from the few bits of rust externally and hole in the boot floor (that's must be a VW trait as my Bug did that too) its a nice clean car.

    Panning to refresh all the wear parts, bushes etc. tidy up the engine and put on a set of coil overs to sort out the ridiculous ride height and hippo style cornering.
