I'm going to sell the 8v once this ones done so this will be my everyday car and 'as often as possible' track car
Found this while looking for some heated seat info (That I didn't find ) http://www.waeco.com/en/products/6018.php Looks quite useful, seems to be able to grab speed + RPM from the CAN bus and converts it to an analogue voltage output
looks good! not easy to find but I did get a hit on ebay.de http://www.ebay.de/itm/Waeco-MagicSpeed-CBI-150-CAN-BUS-Interface-CBI150-/160607089572
The car is home now but still not finished lol I've brought it home so I can spend some time on it, trying to get upto the garage on saturday mornings wasn't realy happening. So, here it is coming home. He is collecting it back on the 4th August and if it isn't finished he has primised me a kick in the nuts lol lol
I haven't been on here for a while, and wondered what happened to this, fortunately I haven't missed much! Great to see you back on it though, now crack on and continue with the updates, on fear of that kick in the nuts!
My ECU was (almost) delivered today, Thanks very very much Eddie Eddie (Toyotec) has coded out the rear lambdas and also the SAI stuff from it. I'm hoping to collect that from the post office depot tomorow before work During the week i've put new gaskets between the manifold and downpipes, refitted the heatshield and inlet manfold, removed the wiring for the above from the loom, got a few rools of the Tesa loom tape and connected the servo vac hose to the inlet manifold. Its so much easier now its at home!!!
Do I recognise that gearbox at the back? Garage looks very nice with a golf in it lol Have not painted the garage floor?
Not painted it yet. It's a rule of mine - 'never finish anything' lol lol And cheers for the box Its an EBS off a mk4 V5
Very nice, I will be following this one too. Looking forward to seeing how you progress with it. Best of luck with it Ian
I got it running today without it cutting out like last time. It was only a quick run because there is no radiator on it yet but I still managed to shat myself at a high pitch whine it was making. Turns out its from the big vac hose to the servo, maybe the 1 way valve. I have mk4 and mk5 R32 ones. One goes sideways and the other goes forward. I'd much rather use the forward facing mk5 one if I can get it to fit
No he's to busy dealing with member issues ( read that any way you like lol) and Buggearing of to Ireland to bother with his mk2 project
