Been posted on Facebook but they've changed there terms and you have to pay a shed load of money for third party posting so loads of build thread photos have now vanished to be replaced with a notice they've changed t's & c's
Oh dear, yes all my build thread pictures have gone!!! Man that's going to take a while to sort out. I have my own hosting but quite a job to transfer them over. Photobucket have just shot themselves in the foot now!
The easy option is to upgrade your accout but was this photobucket's business model all along? Bring them in with free hosting and then force them into paying for it at a later date?
I might have paid for extra storage hence the reason I did not get the email. It is ****e from an admin/mod position. That just gave us a lot of unnecessary work on a platform we are just about managing
No, plenty of the people paying the subscription also have had the same issue. Basically photobucket want users to pay $400 a year if they want to link pics in forums as we do now.
Nice. So sabotage So do you see this picture below? It is from my PB account. Just want to confirm it is not just me who can see it.
How much does extra server memory cost the club ? I know as a paid member I can usually upload directly from iPad but it doesn't always work with high res pictures of moved around files
yes I can see that Ed maybe this is classed as linking ? and not third party hosting ? from their site how much are you paying
I've not been hit yet, but my threads don't attract the level of viewings some of the others do. Basically they want to ensure that you go to the website so they can spam you with ads. If you just link here, no-one except you sees the ads. It's a horrendous website, but I just couldn't be bothered to change in the past. Now, I have no choice. If your account gets locked, and you don't want to fix all your threads, you'll need to cough up $400!! I'm going to start hosting mine on my own domain, so that I can't lose anything in the future. I should have back ups of all the images, but sorting them out and relinking will be a complete pain.
