Just tried logging into photobucket to download some of my old images.... they come up with the same message! You can't even see them on their website!
I've checked a few build threads and it's not good for us I'm afraid, all the time people have put into this plus other forums and they just take it away! Absolutely gutted!
I wonder if there is a way for say, "clubgti" to buy the right for links to be posted to the forum? But if I for example, were to post to edition38 it wouldn't show.
My brother just informed me we have a server with 4 terrabit drive and 100 meg connection at our office lol What software do I need to have a secure separate hoist facility?
Basically says you can't really have faith in any hoisting site as any of them can go out of business or change terms and charges at any point . Millions of very unhappy users regarding Photobucket
well thats the 10 year build gone out the window... It's going to take me sometime to relink everything, let hope somehow this fixes itself or they realise what a ****ty idea it was and revert back. I wouldnt mind a reasonable monthly subscription, but $400!? where have they magically plucked this figure from!? This will kill alot of forums and I think everything will go to facebook which is the worst possible outcome, I bloody hate that place! It wouldn't surprise me if the facebook dude owns PB or has just bought them out...
Farkin HELL! Not as bad as having my company pension fund ripped off! But very close! It's simply immoral that any business is able to walk all over decent people without any qualms. Just when I need to upload images for help on 1.8T cam timing chain alignment!
I use postimage.org for bits and pieces, works well. Photobucket was just a spammed up mess everytime I was unfortunate enough to click on a linked picture..
Now with so many pictures missing on our forum and as there is no easy fix... We need everyone their help to get as much ( missing) pictures saved ASAP There are pictures who still show in a Google search ( or other search engines) we can save them and put them in folders per topic Needles to say this takes many hours and cant be done by only a few....but if we all spend some time we get somewere..... If members have pictures and willing to share with the club....or fix their own treads..then we get a chance to fix atleast some treads......
To help out, If you quote a post with the broken images, you can see the photobucket link details. You can then enter that link into the browser to go directly to photobucket from where it can be saved. I have requested an account delete from Photobucket. I have just finished re-linking my entire thread. Gurds
