This is driving me nuts now So I clamped the sawn off bolt in that rubber pipe and I'm still not able to adjust the idling. I checked the injector plastic inserts and they look like they've been replaced but the rubber washer was missing. Could that be it?
could well be, I take it you mean the square washer between the seat and the inlet? if so its 035133557 https://www.classic-vw.co.uk/fuel-i...golf-jetta-scirocco-caddy-audi-80-23251-p.asp
So new seals in and I also sorted out the wiring for the WUR, coolant temp and 5th injector but no difference with the idling with the bolt and clamp still in place Still same issue driving the car, every time I came to a stop, car turns off. Starts up though
the originals are square but round ones should work too I guess once nipped up? maybe confirm with seller to make sure they're correct
Just looking at the diagram on the Classic VW site and these seem like they fit between the brass and plastic inserts? I've installed them on the plastic inserts ends
the diagram isnt very clear (not their fault, its the same one in ETKA ) the seal goes between the plastic insert and the inlet, you slip it up the plastic snug, fit plastic insert to the brass bit then screw them in. the lower injector seal in that piccy is the one on the 'top hat'
FIXED IT. Bloody cut off valve!!! Disconnected it and the car runs perfectly. Thanks again for all your help and advice chaps
Great stuff - what is the cutoff valve, I'm not familiar with that and it's years since I worked on a KR so forgive my ignorance. More importantly does my stupid 8V have one and is it potentially the cause of my woes?
its the black plastic thing behind the airbox, catches revs if you lift off at high rpm. if they go faulty can cause the engine to just die 8v doesnt have one so keep looking
