best engine for high power/weight ratio? AKA Ben's Cab

    Hmmmm...... the debate kinda got spoilt by a lot of BS from HIGHLINE, thankfully he seems to have fallen off the radar now. Fact is, 2 more cylinders + 1 more litre, is always going to be in your favour. If you have a lot of money, then the VR6T route is going to outperform a 1.8 20vT, simply from having 1x the displacement. BUT, it will cost a lot of money (thankfully helped by the weak $), more so than a tuned 1.8T. Its a close call once you factor in limited funds, too. As you know I'm not totally unfamiliar with the VR6 engine, and Mk1s, and I honestly believe a supercharger or turbocharger will not fit, not without significant bodywork modifications (such as cut & relocated chassis leg, or bulkhead mods).

    For a drag racer, nitrous is a cheaper and more sensible route to take (on either engine).

    A Good Nitrous setup and a good pair of Hoosier or M/T Slicks. A good set of rubber will save you 1.5 sec on the 1/4 and thats been proven this year on the strips.
