Hi, well in reply to pauleyebrows, the reason i have modded a 1.4 is because i am only 19 and trying to insure a gti or vr or similar would cripple me! I am lucky in the sense that my mate owns a garage and has said i can use any of his facilities, as his garage is a body repair shop, this is also why i have so many body mods, as i have done them all myself and have got all the components cheap etc!

I would like a vr6 engine in the car, as the same sort of brake, suspension upgrades will be needed anyway, but the engine will be cheaper, however this place i have spoken to, are vw specialists, and i got the number from pvw so they cant be that bad! They said that doing a vr conversion will only be about 500.00 cheaper, so for this price differance, i thought i may aswel go for the 20v as it is much more tuneable in the future!

I am not worried about the resale value of the car, as i am not planning on sellin for a long time yet, also because hopefully it will be featured in the golf + soon(in 1.4 format).

I will give dd a ring and see what they say, do you know if there is much of a waiting time?

    cheers for the correspondance
