    Nearly done!

Oil cooler to fit and plumb in and exhaust to re-connect then fill it with oil and fire it up.;)

Back on the ramp tomorrow so fingers crossed it will be complete by mid afternoon:)

    All finished!

Started first time but took a few anxious minutes for the lifters to pump up.

A couple of minor issues with water and oil leaks and a blow on the 4 branch to system joint to sort, but otherwise all good!

Yes mate- all in good time though!! Mini-mc due to make an entrance in 5 weeks![:$]

Feels good to have 2L grunt again. It's already stronger than the KR with a really basic setup

    Bit of an update.

The car is running great and I have ironed out a few minor issues.

Dizzy has 9 degs of advance and have richened up the mixture at idle to account for the extra capacity. No pinking whatsoever.Combined with the previous WUR mod and new lightened flywheel the motor feels revvy and punchy as well as giving an indicated 35+MPG on a run:) Oil temp with the external cooler now sits just below 90, even when driving hard, so a good 10-12 degs less than it was.

It will be good to see what it's putting out as it feels a good bit stronger than the KR.

A rattley water pump pulley and weird engine whirr left to remedy
