1991 Golf 2 GTi G60 Gearbox upgrade from O2A to O2J Help needed

    No you don't need to worry about those, only reason he needed them was because he cut the originals out of the car before finding out about the polo type shifter

    Yeah if it was a normal MK2 I'd just say get a MK4 unit avoid the polo tax and make it fit, but since it's a g60 shell I'd say it's worth trying to get the polo direct fit unit if possible

    Tbh it's not like anyone would be bothered to want to go back to standard and put the old 02a stuff back in :lol:

    Hey guys i found this from an Seat Ibiza

    Does this work it looks like the mounting holes are different?

    Can i buy the following PN and put everything from this box into it to make it fit without drilling holes?

    6N0 711 061A - Shifter Housing
    6N0 711 090A - Base Plate
    6N0 711 611C - Shifter Arm

    I also found a shifter box from a Polo 6n2 1.4 tdi from 2000 that looks like this but it looks different from what ive seen ppl use (but from what i read the mounting points are correct):
