Found a Manufacturer of Inlet Manifold Adaptor plates 20vt inlte to 16v Head.

He does all Ford Engine types at the moment, but can do any if he has a gasket to copy.

    Here's the e-mail received this morning -

    Good Morning Richard,

    Thank you for your e-mail.

This isn't an adaptor plate that I've done before, but would be happy to have a look at it for you. I'd simply need one inlet manifold gasket from each engine, or a 200dpi scan of the gaskets (with a ruler laid next to it) by e-mail. Then we can decide if this is feasible, no set-up or drawing charges, price in 12.7mm 6083T6 alloy is 98.00 plus P&P.

The KR isn't a drawing that I have on file, but again, all I'd I'd need to continue would be an OE type gasket as a pattern. If you can let me know the existing CR for your engine, and the CR you'd like to achieve, I'd be happy to run some calculations & come back to you. As a guide, a 1.0mm aluminium alloy plate should lower CR by approx 1.0:1, cost is 93.00, 2.0mm by about 1.8:1, cost 127.00, with a few options in between. There is some info attached that explains more about these products.

    All the best Richard,

Think there could be a few ordered for people off our site doing conversions.

I've managed to get a TT manifold, fuel rail, Kr 42mm bottom inlet and Digi injector inserts to get modded like this by a guy on ED38. I think it ends up shorter than the TT one due to cutting and welding the two together.

    Is that from Ferriday engineering?

No! but noticed they could do adapter plates for anything with similar port spacing. I Weighed it up and didnt think there would be much cost difference with getting one modified. Plus i think the modded one will be shorter than the standard TT one giving a bit more space.

ive got it in autodata, but it only allows you to print it off, unless you or anyone knows how to just save the diagram?

If I ever get another... it'd be a Megasquirt 1 version 3.57 with the surface mount components. I didn't like the look of MS2, though it may have developed more since I last looked?

It says on the website the Microsquirt has the same charactoristics as the MS2 etc just the different enclosure for surface mounting in the engine bay.

    Update 22nd July

Spoke to Toyotec this morning and now ordered the Microsquirt ! from Glens Garage USA:)

Going for engine bay mounting and Toyo says the robust enclosure will be well suited for race applications.

Going to re-locate the battery behind the passenger seat and reduce washer bottle size or even use the rear wash bottle for the front!

Running with no cam belt cover? You need a poke in the eye if you do
