I use dubpower which i got from storm developments on my dads Vento VR6 which is raced in the VW Cup and also i am just fitting one to my beetle R32 which I also compete in the Vw Racing Cup.

I have had no quality issues and would recommend them. If you do have issues I would always speak to them as Andy, Miles and Peter are good guys and will help sort it out.

Does anyone know if the c2 one is suitable for the r32 as well as the 2.8 24v? Or are the 4motion and R32 manifolds the same? It must be a fair bit cheaper than the full manifold.

This is what the R32 manifolds look like, bit of an angle off towards the gearbox.

These look to be very straight downwards unless the pic is decieving.

It is suitable but its not much cheaper at all. I just spoke to them and they are 329.

if this helps my 4motion has the 2.8 cast manifold and downpipe on the 3.2 engine

i am sure the mk5 manifold is diffrent to the 2.8/3.2 mk4
as the mk5 outlets are at a angle and the mk4 is straight down

i would make sure they know witch manifold you have

I'm wondering how close a 12v one is going to be. The Mk5 one does angle down the same way. I'll try and borrow a VR downpipe and offer it up.

Are the R32 and VR6 blocks the same height? Time to crack out the tape measure I think.

Pic of 2.8 Manifolds, got them lying in the shed spare, if you think they'd make things easier?

Maybe. If I have no luck with the 12v or mk5 downpipes i'll let you know. Did you get my pm about your dubpower one?

Well Dubpower have been very helpful over the e-mail. They say the mk5 manifolds are quite in demand to mk4 owners and could be worth 150+

Are there any alternatives to the Dubpower? Maybe an American version?

I'm looking to buy one next month so want the best deal.

    Nope.

Dubpower is the best bet if it's going in a MK2.

You'll just have to swallow it like everyone else and dig into your wallet ;)

I went dub power, great item and well made! Go for the decat pipe also with a flexi. It will all mate up correctly with no messing. Yes it's a lump of money but makes a really hard job easy!

Almost! I bungled it so it's actually VR6Trubo reversed, doh!

It's worth mentioning the Dubpower one isn't suitable for Corrados as it uses a different trans tunnel to the MK2.
