Hope driving the 16v is worth the wait and the insurance money, I'm sure it will be. :)
Take it easy though, don't want any mishaps and have to make a claim or anything! Best of luck with it.

It is sheer madness, whatever happened to driving a shed round for the first year or so then getting a decent car once you've earned some kind of NCB?? [:s]

    its the youth of today....

i grew up on hi-tech`s and hand-me-downs. now they get top brand trainers and clothes.

i`m not disputing that people have a bit more money nowadays to buy consumables like shoes and clothes but 1800 is a large price to pay for having "the best".......

however good luck with it!:) :)

Tis very true, I was given what my parents could afford and if I didn't like it then it was tough s**t frankly! I know of someone on one of the 206 forums that for his second car has got the GTi 180. Only got 1 years NCB and he's 19, think he's paying just shy of 2500 for FC. Thats half the value of my car FFS!!! Frankly anything over 1000 is ridicluous, I was paying 900 for my GTi when I had 2 years NCB and I thought that was expensive.

that 206 is nothing. the gf is 18, no no-claims, brand new 18000 pound civic type r, 309 per month on insurance and she works in asda, and her perants are not millionaires!!!! i`d say all she has money to eat is spam:lol:   before long she`ll be living in spam alley

unless shes trading in heroin shes gunna be owing a lot of money to el banko!!

instead of putting the cash away to pay for a house shes blown it on a piece of tin and four wheels, whats more its dead boring to drive/ride in, it has no toys (sat nav/mfa/cruise control). shes had it a week and done 800miles about 140 pounds of fuel.... debt here she comes!!

so in a year it will have done 40k and be worth feckall, all because she taxis her mates around. with fuel being so expensive i only use my car when i need to but she is single handed using all the uk`s oil stocks..

And i put all this down to vanity, the upbringing and the quest to always be better than the person nextdoor. i have no itrest in bettering people with cars, fair play i have a nice mk2 8v but i have had some right dogs in the past.

did you even bother to get a quote from elephant to see how much it would be when you've had your licence 12 months?

i paid 1200 2 years ago when i was 18 for my first valver...

you really are a fool, i know the feeling of not being able to wait but for 800 i could hold out 2 months...
