What, no prize? I even got the size right! Ah well! Must say it looks beautiful! A job very well done. Looks very similar to mine apart from mine is on standard width RS047's and has standard lights.
Looked absolutely stunning at inters matey!!! The shine on the pain (evident in photos above) was amazing you could barely look at it where the sun hit it! Top work! Bet it was all worth it in the end ? Just outta interest where did you get the grille? Single light with badge and red stripe?
Well hasn't this one been a long time in stasis... Since the last update the car has covered a grand total of ZERO miles!!, infact its not been out since getting back from Santa Pod in October 2011... As you all know this car is my best friend's and unit sharer Ady's... He's had plans a foot to evolve the car and hopefully improve it, there will be a Mk4 rear caliper update coming soon but this update is the start of what is going on up-front... The car is fitted with a stock 96 ABF with the fully overhauled original K-jet, it was good but Ady was always worried about the fueling at the top of the rev range and has been working towards putting that right... So last week off came the K-jet. All in a box. The dizzy had to go too. Then it was new box of bits time. Jenvey DTH ITBs with Omex 600 ECU. Now we just need to get busy...
I'll be getting an update on here soon, but just to keep you all in the picture the ITB and mk4 golf rear brake installs are complete and we spent Sunday down with Toyotec at Garage Streamline in that London... Some very nice results were at achieved thanks to Eddie and the team down there, update will follow.
We had an awesome day! These stock ABF's are strong arn't they Should be down on the 28th, see you then? Sure was a long day, it's all about having people you trust, our usual guy's dyno is out of action so the only other man in the country is Eddie.... We used a small transporter we managed to blag lol, the ecu had no map and wasn't running so it was safer than me messing it up just to get it down there.
They certainly are strong. Good bang for buck. Sounds like a lot of fun! I will try my best to be at there. Would be great to catch up. All depends if I don't end up in Venice Gurds
beauty... cant wait to see the final results.. I should hopefully be there on 28th with my Monza valver..
Here's a quick update to bring you right up to speed. The bodies and wiring loom was all built onto the engine over a couple of evenings. ECU mounted inside the car. Looking the part, quite neat really. Then it was on to our epic Sunday road trip down to Streamline, we set off at approx 6.45am. We borrowed a mates transporter, really was good, but used a bit of derv!!! Unloaded and ready to Rock & Roll! After many hours of Eddie weaving some of his magic this is where we ended up... [/URL] After a quick blast when we got home at midnight!! I can confirm it freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! It wasn't making anywhere near as much power/torque before. Thanks to Toyotecwerk and all down at Streamline, see you there soon.
Fantastic! Great effort Adi, Phil, & Eddie That looks like a hoot to drive from the shape of the graph results. Car is looking good & engine hardware install is neat
Glad to wave some life in another Monza...Car looks great. Glad to hear the number and plots correlates to a cracking drive too! Thanks to Theo and Will for opening up the place on a Sunday. See you soon. Stay tuned...Stay optimised... Braapp!
