    Update 23/04/2016

Finished the 02A rebuild. All new bearings, oil seals, synchro rings, Quaife LSD, ARP ring gear fastenings, oil drip pipe, and 0.658 5th gear set. The balance weighted shift tower was also rebuilt. It was the first gearbox I have ever rebuilt. Daunting to start with but rewarding when done.

Opening a gearbox can be pretty daunting! Drilling out the old differential/crowngear rivets was a pain. LSD it self was fairly simple. The shimming of the bearings can be a little tricky to get right. It would be worth replacing all the bearings and oil seals at the same time.BQuite satisfying once rebuilt though.

Chromed Porsche 924 scripted door handles fitted. The original Porsche lock barrels were keyed alike to the original VW AH key profile. New gaskets.
