That blue would look really good with a plain black bumper.

    Hi,

How long will you be allowed to keep the UK registration? The 'NY' area identifier is one of the old-scheme pairs for my locality (Swansea).

Or try sticking some blue tape over the red bumper stripe.

I have my old bumper that was damaged a few years ago when I hit a stag that I was gonna see how it looked on both black and with a blue stripe

I'm not sure how long I can keep driving it with the UK plates but I have to wait a few more weeks at least as the shipping company messed up the paper work[:x]

So I've just got back home after being gone for six weeks. Before I left my mk2 decided it wanted to leak it's coolant all over the ground so it was left at home and the Tiguan was taken to Tennessee instead. I knew I needed to change the thermostat water outlet because it had warped and I also found a leak from the radiator. I had a spear rad but of course it doesn't fit so I'll have to buy a new one. I thought getting a water outlet would be a pain but it only took a day and I was pleasantly surprised to what was in the box

Did your version of the DVLA actually supply the plates?

Yeah the DMV supplies the plates, then if you want a personalized plate you can apply online for it.

I'm not sure if prisoners still make tags or not. The plates for Nebraska are not pressed though, it's more like a decal.

So last night after work I went to leave and while the hand brake handle moved the cables didn't. I drove it home as I figured maybe the brakes needed to heat up a bit, it was bloody cold last night. I looked this morning and the calipers look brand new so I'm thinking the cables seized up, so it look like I'll be replacing the cables at the weekend.

I've got some big changes for my little mk2 next year and I'm getting excited to get started. I'll keep my thread as up to date as possible
