corrados are a higher insurance group to golfs aren't they? more desirable to theives or some other cr@p.

I got a quote for a bog standard 1.8 16v G-plate corrado (considering it as a daily driver for when the G is garaged) & they wanted more than I pay for my G40.

Living in an area with the highest crime rating possible doesn't help me though.

    Here we go.

FC came out at a mammoth 850!!!

but if I put the valuce under 5000, I can go TPFT for 256.49

hmmmm. I think I'll pocket the 600 difference now, and put it to one side in case I crash it.

On hold for 17 mins to HIC and you gave up??? I was on hold for over 30 mins before i gave up, hence why i'm now insuring my car with someone else!! Anyways, i'd have thought yours would have gone down as a modded 8V (like the 20vt'd ex16V Corrado i was looking at before it sold!!), but if it's based on a VR price then hold your hat!! My renewal was almost 800 quid fully comp with HIC and that was limited to 7000miles!! Did it with elephant in the end and managed to get me and the missus (who's 23) both covered F.C for 599!! Can't be bad!!

That doesn't sound a bad price even on Comp, bearing in mind the spec of it and your recent conviction. The TPFT price is a total bargain!

 Adrain flux just quoted me 600TPFT on a VR6 corrado, i asked them as i've just literally renewed mine on the golf 744.50. Fully comp was 850. Find your cheapest quote and go to adrian flux as they price match! [:D]

I can't justify the extra cost of FC, I'd never claim unless it was a total loss anyway.

    TPFT it is.

Do I have to come to you for that poke in the eye, or will you travel?

I'm amazed at the difference coming down to TPFT though... definitely the
    way to go.

fngers crossed i won't have to claim! Useless they may be, but if i can get hold of them and they are charging almost 200 less than the competition, then who am i to argue!! Will try confused.com now and see if it comes up any cheaper though! Cheers

Whats the prob with HIC when you claim???

You dont actually phone HIC, you phone your underwiter on the number on your policy!!!!!
