Used to have an a500. upgraded to 1meg memory so that i could play Mig29 super fulcrum. More recently had winuae and speedball2 running in the office. Just like old times with folk crowded round the keyboard to play. I could never win the management side of it. With Winuae you can hack the save file and give all your players max attributes and this is still no guarantee of a win. Zsnes is a really good snes emulator. U can play mariokart over a network. Super Ghouls and Ghosts is fantastic too.
ZSnes playing Mariokart with a mate 200 miles away The N64 emulator (Nineteen64) also allows net play (not tried it yet though)
anyone had any luck transferring downloaded roms to amiga disc yet? I'd love to play alien breed or project x etc..
to copy amiga disk images to floppy disk you would need an amiga spare floppy drive, normal floppy drives cannot read datat from an amiga formatted disk and vice versa, so you need to attach an amiga floppy driver to your serial port to write your info to disk once you have that working you should be able to download all the emulator files and copy them back to floppy hopefully anyone remember moonstone with the rat men and the dragon its one of my favorate games ever very gory for its time lol
Ahh Moonstone, played that for weeks chopping the ratmen in half! I used to split the disk images in two, transfer them over via an msdos disk that the amiga can read (amidos?) and join them back together/ write the disk on the Amiga. I think you can do it on the 1 meg machines quite easily.
We never had an Amiga, I had to make do with an Acorn Electron (which I still have upstiars) Eddie Kidd's Jump Challenge was the greatest game in the world, if the tape didn't bugger up while loading.

Been playing Paradroid 90 & forgot how hard the damn thing was. others i had a quick go of: James pond 2 & 3 B.A.T II Galaga Emmanuelle Dr.Who Dizzy (various) Cruise for a corpse Armalyte Cannon Fodder 2 - alien edition Chuckie egg 2
I started with an A500, then got an A1200HD (Woo 170mb of hard drive space!!) That then got upgraded with a Blizzard 1230, then next yeat a Blizzard 1260 & SCSI card so I could install EVEN MORE RAM Then I got the Eyetech tower kit & Zorro slot upgrade, and a Cybervision64 3D graphics card Got the interet on it too, and played Amiga Quake Team Fortress online in a 60% screen, and 300 ping, (LPB at the time!) UziLover I used to call myself! (well I still do, its my gaming nic, so much more scary than 'rubjonny' ) Ah those were the days I had to sell it to pay for all the car parts I started buying for my driver [:^(] But, WinUAE has moved on alot and its alot better than my A1200 ever was! Did you know the reason they called all the custom chips strange names, was so they could talk/write about them without anyone knowing what they were on about? The stuff was cutting edge back in the day! Edit: Some of my favourite games: Alien Breed 3D 1&2 Coala Cannon Fodder (War! Never bin so much fun!) Carrier Desert Strike (Over here! Help!) Dungeon Master 1&2 Fighter Bomber Hired Guns (Awesome!) Hunter IK+ James Pond & Robocod New Zealand Story Prince of Persia Silkworm Syndicate Walker Zeewolf 1&2 Zool Most of which I have on WinUAE, and tons more I havn't played yet
I never owned an Amiga, but I used to round my mates house all the time. Loved Monkey Island, Shadow of the Beast 2, Another World, Flashback, IK+ and Speedball 2. I love the sound bites from Speedball 2, the cries of "Ice Cream" is a classic. "Get Ready..."
Dreamcast was an amazing machine. It's a real shame it flopped. Soul Caliber 2, the graphics were absolutely incredible. Shenmue is another quality game, Virtua Tennis 2, Phantasy Star Online, Power Stone and House of the Dead 2 was great fun with the gun. Think it was the last console I bought on day of release.
I've got a Vic 20 and an Amiga 500. I used to love speedball 2, such a playable game, it would be great to have an updated version on the PS2. Used to like Test drive and Test drive 2, Lombard RAC Rally, Barbarian, Wizball - simple but highly addictive game & IK+ which had cheats where you could speed up or slow down game play and pull the karate fighters trousers down. I've got X-Copy pro. Ooh another great game which was free as a public domain program was called Bip. It was 2 player with 2 biplanes having a dog fight, viewed from the side only. I'm going to have to dig it out soon and play some of these old games.
Aaahhh bip, it took me aiiiiiyges to figure out how to take off lol The real skill was landing though
