While waiting for my mini to get an mot today (failed on tyre, ugh), I had a fiddle with a few things. Fit the new belt covers and fitted a coolant bleed valve into where the connection to the expansion tank was, I have a feeling it would get an air lock there. Looks oem.

And It's a legit race car now.

Had a bit of spare time so decided to fit the clutch, flywheel, new rear main oil seal, and gearbox today.

Thanks! Yeah I will be doing the loom myself and just getting a immobiliser delete. And then drive it to a place local to get it mapped. I think they are just basic flashes depending on what mods.

Yeah it is a Techniclutch one. I saw someone that had a problem with theirs after I had ordered it where he couldn't turn his engine over because the pressure plate was fouling the inside of the bell housing. It's fine on mine. I checked it over before I installed it all too and it looked ok. We will see though. It was only 150 and a normal VR6 clutch kit fits the flywheel too so its ok once this one self destructs

Where did you get the wheel studs from? I want to replace the ones on my racecar as they don't have the quick start lead yours appear to have [emoji57]

This matter has been resolved and Anil (neestoke?) has been refunded his deposit with the hope this can be put to rest.

Can someone point me in the direction of the other thread on club gti? I can't find it?

Sorry for the mini hijack lol

Is there any other reason for doing this as this would help massively with an issue i have with my ABF, im running a mk3 subby though.

My inlet is pipe is extremely close to the M/C and on the gearbox side, the rubber bush is distorted off centre towards the rear.

All the mounts are standard ABF mounts on a ABF subby other than the front which is homebrew using a mk2 bracket.

Only other thing i can think of is my engine carrier is maybe bent. not been in a whack though as far as i know.
