As per title, just interested what issues there are with space and the fact that most kits / manifolds are designed for LHD cars without the servo / steering knuckle issues.

Just finishing mine on Emerald K3, I used the Eliminator Turbo GT28RS with an aftermarket manifold, The origional plan was to use my old Quaife built 020 but soon found out the Gear selector rods hit the Turbo so changed to an 02J with cable conversion parts and TT shifter, I had it mapped the other day but not without its problems, After a couple of runs the water temp went sky high due to broken water pump so Dave walker reduced the boost pressure to 12psi so he could finish the ignition mapping.
The other problem was i needed to fit an N75 valve so he could map the boost to gears.
    Have a look here

If you are building a race car why didn't you go for a GT2871RS? - Just curious.

We have another competitor who used to have a GT28RS in a TT He then decided to go for the 2871, I asked him what he thought of it after the race he just said very Laggy.

If you want 350bhp is it possible from a GT28RS Eliminator or is it pushing it too much really?

330-340 at the most i would have thought, At the end of the day how much power do you want for a front wheel drive.

Come on Bill, you must know?

Do I want the impossible? - 350bhp but as little lag as possible. I don't just want to push the power curve up the rev range, want to try to extend it. Maybe anti lag will help if things are laggy?

mid to high 3krpm power delivery to 7K seems to be what people can get.

I am not a fan of the eliminator on ATP's cracking (literally) manifold.
It *should* be possible yes, but dont expect k03s spool

I was thinking the eliminator as it will fit into the car as is. What other manifolds are there out there (if the ATP version cracks?) that will still fit into a Mk2 Golf with a GT28RS?

3.5 (ish) to 7K sounds fine, could the revs be pushed more or will the blower run out of flow?

I think you will have seen peak power at 7k or there abouts..
depends how hard you are prepared to rev stock valves (2 piece fall apart type valves)

With the build the AGU head will be ported. Proper valves. Rods, 82.5mm forged pistons. Really would like to rev to and see power at 7.5K
