I've got an ARZ; I just thought it was an AGU with DBW - large ports and non-VVT.

Its been to 1 garage... they said it was knackerd and didnt want to touch it.... It sounds like your hitting a hammer on the bonnet but i will get a 3rd oppinion

Ive found a arz engine but... its 740 just for the block which I think is expensive.

Depends whether it's a complete engine, what car you're putting it in etc.

Best place? eBay to start with, but, as with anything, do your research into who's selling it etc - if you don't trust them, don't buy it.

Some early AUM's don't have the KO3s turbos apparently!!! Some mk4 golf owners have reported to having a KO3 turbo as they were the early batch.

    Someone will know more though.

740 for an ARZ engine?!?! My mk4 sounds to be worth more in parts than complete at the moment!

Sounds really silly but can't you just buy an AGU engine , slap 99% of the engine in and the only thing to switch around is the throttle intake (be non-cable)?

I thought there wasn't any other differences in the engines otherwise?!
