I wouldn't be influenced to change something I like on my car because someone said they didn't like it. The point of the thread was to try and find out why some people have had enough of BBS and why.

okay im gonna go against the grain here [:$]

i dont think theyre such a good looking wheel [:s] the centers look cluttered to me,infact the only bit i like is the dish or rim.

and for the money! i think theres wheels out there which are a lot better looking!

only time i really like a bbs split is when the centers are painted black to hide all those silly little spokes

    neil.

i think they are the definitive mk2 wheel

as said, there alot on forums/shows etc but i'v never seen a set on the road.

i've a set of RM's for mine - and i'm not gonna not put them on just because someone prefers porsche wheels.

To be honest i think they are the only wheel that truly really suits the MK2.

If you think of BBS splits the car you would picture them on would be a MK2 golf. Personally i can't think of anyother wheels that would suit the G60 i bought. Shame that no where in the southwest can stretch tyres over the 8 onch rim [:x] [:x] [:x]

I got a fully refurbed set from Germany for a good price and they came with 0.5" outers on the front, and 1" outers on the rear. My 0.5" outers are now for sale (see ebay section ;) ), as ive fitted some 1.5" outers to that pair.

If i were to sell them, id probably have no problem getting 800+ with the brand new unused tyres on them.

i like BBS splits...... but think that they're over done in fully polished variety.. really like them with colour coded/black centres.

If I had the money i'd have umpteen sets of wheels.

    you get the idea :)

They're very mood dependant in my eyes.
