Got to be a Lotus Carlton, i've only been in one once and i never thought a car that large could go that fast. Was a teenager at the time and i think i creamed by pants!! Though back then it didn't take a lot for me to get excited!

Oooh that one. I remember matt82 knows a bit about these. I think a tuning company took a mk1 made it wide enought to fit a v8 and running gear or something like that. There's a vid on youtube of one doing a burnout.

A couple more of the Artz Mk1 ...

Gunter Artz made 12 of these. Most of the panels are actually custom fabrications, apart from the doors. They were about a foot wider than the standard Mk1 shell. Early models had a 240bhp 4.5L V8 and the later examples a 300bhp 4.6L V8 engine. Contemporary road tests suggested the Artz 928 was awful to drive. Its almost (though not quite) as cool as the Sbarro Mk1 ...

Powered by a mid mounted (hence the body) 330 bhp Porsche 911T engine.

    There was also a Sbarro 928 Mk1 ...

An S4 Avant may FEEL like a big robust tank, but they're actually only a similar size to a MK4 Astra estate.

But yes, they CAN be costly to run ;)
