thats a nifty set of tbs, trumpet length looks close if not spot on m8!

the only problem with injectors at the head is that in some cercomstances at high revs say 7k ish, a standard 16v head cause valve shockwaves wich disturb the path and atomisation of fuel in such a way that it travle out to the trumpet, condenses and gets sucked in as dropplets. iv only seen this twice and both times it was on a vtech engine on tbs and that ran to 11k!!! on most cars its hardly noticable if atall

Im sure it will be prefectly fine. jenevie counter this problem on high reving motors like dragsters etc and vtechs when needed by deliberatly using a heat conducting gasket.

the downside to this is at low revs it heats up incoming air a bit and can cause pre-ignition in the tb itself, causing a flash flame, looks nice but cooks things around it!

Have you got room for (s)trumpets on an 8v? Are you cutting the bulkhead to make an airbox?

even if they are short ones they are an essential to smooth airflow.

The Oettinger 16S head has the injectors mounted into the head into the intake port. On the Oettinger manifold for the Mk2 Golf the inlet manifold is different to the MK1 and the injectors mount in the manifold facing the valves.
As the bodies I have are quite large 46mm and the problem with using bike bodies on a car is a bad flat spot due to the increased flow when the throttle is opened, I thought I could use these injectors additionally when the throttle is open.
Management system still looking into the different makes, either Emerald, DTA, MBE or MoTeC (though I have an MoTeC M8 on my other car and it is not cheap, so thought for ease Emerald would be best). What do you guys think?
    Regards
    Dave

Interesting, but not very rain-friendly - I take it our septic chum lives out in the desert!

put down 153whp and 140ft/lbs of torque.. it was a blast to drive like that....sounds interesting

i can see rain being a big problem, it'd need an airbox and water trap, but as that's a high pressure area, it'd make sense to feed the airbox from there
