Wow! Cool Thread. I don't know how I missed this one! I've had more BMX's than I care to remember Raleigh Chrome Burner, Mongoose Pro Class, Skyway TA etc etc This is my 1983 GT Team Series Race Bike. (Same age as my MK1 GTI!!) One of last GT's to be hand built in the Santa Ana Factory in the US. 4130 "Chrome Moly" (Chromium Molybdenum) !!
So who is going to buy a new Burner then to relive those childhood good times? Good deal on at Argos at the moment. http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/s...00002701&langId=-1&searchTerms=RALEIGH+BURNER
Well here I am in 1983 on my mk1 night burner, really wish I hadnt sold it , really want another burner....
Yes! glad i found this! im not a BMxer as such i am a mountain bike but a 24" Yeah yeah i know but its still park and trails only kinda thing... Riding a very sexy NsBikes Capital (with a nice fresh dent) HI! haha
Thread revival! Here it is as it stands today - my Xmas 1982 Tuff Burner, complete with dry weather front tyre... I took it out for the first time in a good while. How much of an easy hobby is it, messing around with bikes? Refreshed the rear and fork bearings in an hour - and then out for a several mile ride. No where near fast enough mind, though it still goes down steps, and does endos! What is it with 5 spokes tho? Skyways..... MOs, Speedlines, OZ Cronos, Dymags
Well i stupidly got rid of most of my old bmx stuff...some of it would be worth a bit now. Ive currently got a custom KHE Da-function flatland bike. Full custom wheels, 20t chainring to 9t freecoaster etc. Dont know if the video worked but one of my fav's
Recently dusted off, recomissioned and taken for a run around London... ... and home via the local VW dealer!
Now that the hight a seat should be at So tempted to buy a old frame on eBay and build it up Must resist lol
That is spooky, my son's BMX is almost identical, really weird thing is that he sprayed it that colour himself. Only differences are his forks are blue & front sprocket is black, even the grips are the same colour.
