    Nice one Mike!
No more jibes at you having a 1.6 now - Almost double the capacity and power.
Perhaps we should meet up when I get the S3 (not 100% when yet) and have a 4WD burn around Exeter?!

Glad to hear youre enjoying it Mike. But for gods sake turn off the traction control, its 4wd, you have some learning to do (ie that booting it through corners is no longer scary but FUN!) actually leave the TC on the first time you do that lol.

the time to turn it off is when you're at a set of lights, its raining, and you want to spin all 4 wheels [}:)]

i thought the bora wasn't constant 4 wheel drive but fwd unless it needs more grip at the back? where as a rallye is constant 4wd.

rallyes arent constant 4wd either! but the boras 4wd is more sophisticated. Still, all both of them do is transfer drive to the rear wheels when the fronts spin, just the newer haldex versions (eg bora) do it quicker. So the fronts spin, the rears start to get drive, and when the rears have no traction, all 4 spin! [}:)]

Of course I wouldn't know about that ;)

Im at the 'bloody hell, when I put my foot down this car flies and I leave that guy tailgating me for dead no matter what gear Im in, thats amazing' stage.

Ive had the car 24hrs and not reached the 'Lets see what I can do in this car with all the devices designed to stop me from stacking it / becoming dead are turned off' stage - I think thats week 4? ;)

Coming from the 1.6 its a big change and I want to take it gradually - especially as my insurance is still not 100% sorted yet. After that Ill be happier. But for now, Im enjoying myself with spirited driving and listening to that engine (not had the stereo on much yet! [:D])

Its also nice making people turn round to hear where its coming from ;)

Unfortunately it doesnt look like that...:( but hopefully it will some time next year. FLAT BROKE for now so its staying stock
