This may at first appear to be a problem but I believe it can be worked around, you simply fit the snow tyres back to front. ie, the "dished" bit facing outwards as opposed to inwards, this will not only allow clearance for your brakes but will also give you a cost effective "widetrack" appearance
Nice! The "Anorexic Berg Cup Look" could be the next big Scene points winner. It is exactly this type of technical detail and marketing strategy that may just pull this off! For your information, I recently converted a 4 stud spacesaver to a 5 stud one with the aid of an oxyacetylene burner by melting some new holes. I was able to make it fit 5 x 100 and 5 x 112 so it was a true multifit rim.
Presume just a quick whizz round with a large countersunk drill attachment after, and they're literally ready to roll?
I suppose with a torque setting of about 150lb/ft to take account of any possible seating issues, that should be fine. Anyway, you got to live a little.
I hadn't considered different stud patterns but now you mention it if I were to grind the metal away between the stud holes to make slots the wheels should fit any stud pattern
Excellent. Now you've accepted it, you've valued your own business at 30, which means my share is now 83.3%. So get working, lackey. It was hailing here earlier today and I need 2 tyres by the end of the week.
What is the current value of the business? Is there a share option for my extensive consultancy labours? I have also come accross a product that comes in a tin, and it can be brushed on to change the colour of the wheels to match that of the car. You could also paint the wheels different colours and market them as "The Harlequin Option". That sounds like a innovative and original idea!
Yes you have the option of keeping your daft ideas to yourself. Although I may give you a discount for giving me the idea of grinding out the stud holes. I am considering developing this idea to give customers the option of completely removing the existing 4/5 stud holes by cutting one big hole in the centre of the wheel and supplying a large nut and washer which screw directly onto the thread on the driveshaft, this will give F1 stylee single nut wheel changes.
