Buying Specialist VW tools

    Has anyone got the part number for the Mk4 hub spreader (to get the front shock out?) and it's approx cost?

    Just use a right angle flat head screwdriver and whack out shock with a hammer.

    Edit: Found the thing, It's a Sealey2Pc Strut Leg Pry Socket (Model number SX034)

    Got it online for 12 inc delivery. :)

    For specialist VW/Audi tools, look up Klann Tools the catalogue lists all sorts of special applications

    Im after a VW524 tool to undo the top mount of the suspension or is there another way of doing it??

    The only specialist tools we have at work are the master sets for locking wheel nuts, the rest are made in the aftermarket...

    pop into GSF and get the strut nut tool that lasertools do, only special tool you really need

    The Vw wheel wrench is the perfect size tube so you just grind down the handle end to leave two little tags, carefully tap round the nut thingy with a screwdriver to start it off, or cut a profile out of the wrench handle to get a allen key in there as the strut will turn as you try to undo.
