I was in the loft the other day lagging water pipes and ended up going through my old car photos of th ehill climbing stuff at Cricket St Thomas when Styles used to hillclimb a Red Mk1 on steelies - got a piccie somwehere... took me 4 hours to do the loft !!! Some of my old photos of inters are classics. Canyou remember a Guy who ahd a turobod MK2 with Tiger stripes Turbo'd and NOS jobby - Larry soemone, When MArk Elliott was aorund ?
So my missus is right - I am obsessed. I can;t remember bugger all else but this stuff - yeah no probs !! Can you remember a Skeete 1600 GTI Yello top half, Grey bottom half, tuned by them to I think 136BHP. thats in CCC somehwre as well.

I scanned in a load of 80s Golf pics - bodykits and stuff. Just running a search on my hard drive to see if I can find them... A weird italian Mk2 with a full width grille that sort of retracted over the headlamps or something springs to mind...
Ahh, the one where the lights were hidden behind the grill, and when you turned the lights on the grill bit over the lights moved to show the lights ? Is that teh one you mean. I think it was dark purple / black. ?

Can you remember the white MK2 they did with the body kit. It was called something like "The Golf Club". Oh and the best inspiration has to be Dave Walkers Silbver MK1 on NOS making 300BHP, and having Rover brakes fitted !!
Yeah I remember the silver Mk1 - I think I mentioned it in the first post on this thread... Wonder where that is now! They also gave away a white Mk1 in a 3 part competition, with a BBS bodykit all colour coded in the true 80s style!
*flash of inspiration* The Mk2 with the weird headlamp covers was by an Italian firm called Oriciari... Can't find any pics yet though.

Hmmm OK just copied the pics into my FTP space... Anyone else got any more pics of Orciari Golfs? Otherwise I'm going to be spending the next couple of evenings sifting through endless piles of mags...
