Yeeeaahhhhhhh...... what ahideous creation I might try and get some piccies transfered of old inters cars, but none are as hideous as these !! Mind you some of the woerthesee cars last year with the Fast and furios stripping were getting this way !! Oh, and There was a MK1 with the old Reigar kit on ( I forgot about that one !!)....
Well boys I reckon you've found a job for yourselves - scan all these CCC articles and put them up for the rest of us to learn the history!
If I had a scanner...... I can always talk my way through them !!!! Ummm, I'm a bit worried that I'm showing my age and how looong I've been knocking around for now
[ with a muffled voice] ... I'm 35, if it wasn't car mags it was bike mags (which are still at my parents house).....
.... which all shaped the scene into what it is today No doubt some-one in the club can match DarrenW and my colleciton with Porno mags
Heh heh! Darren - did you scan any pics from my 'VW power & Style' book? There were some cracking Reiger widebody kits in there! Also of note in that book is lots of info on the Pikes Peak cars, Bi-Motor 'Rocco's and 'Twin Jet' Jetta (twin engined!).
I remember that car! It was two tone red/silver. IIRC the guy's name was Larry Edwards. Do you also remember when Deutchcar were around and did one of the first mk2 VR6's? The reg was A2 VRG, wonder what happened to that. I also liked the first mk2 VR6 that Mykoo Motorsport did - black with 17" 3 spokes and reg H150 HRX It's amazing how much the scene has come along since then, and amazing it is still so big. All these old cars from the mags must still be around somewhere.
LOL - Deutchcar who went bust - I remember them !! There Blue MK2 VR was the first MK2 to have those dials where the needle had been modified ot point downwards to 6 o'clock. They also strapped NOS to it, and ran it on the rollers - was knocking ouyt something like 350 BHP +. Mykoo Motorsport - no theirs a name you don;t hear of anymore. Larry Edwards - that was him, a coloured Guy - always took the grill off and the interior out when he was sprinting at Inters. You'll prbably find that most of the cars are either trashed or sold on and people just don't know what they have !! I think Deutch cars stuff was probably had by the Boys in Blue !!
