I take it that means he's invited to the next big dub show? He could be the ClubGTI honorary guest.

My sister has a clio and she likes it cos its easy to drive and she's not so confident on roads when they have other cars on them.

I'm guessing that mk1boy is a Scotsman, judging by the face that he was "racing" on the Edinburgh bypass. Therefor, I am also guessing that his quartermile times are from Crail "quartermile strip".

For those of you who haven't attended, it has to be the worst quartermile strip in existence. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it exists, but it undulates all over the shop, its far from level and I think towards the end, it runs on a significant downhill gradient

Mmmm what a t**t i would love to see him try and spend the rest of the week pickin bits of burnt rubber out of his teeth!

You forgot the legion of fans that were so much on his side on clio forums aswell

Wow this guy has really got lots of friends. I would love to see him at a clio meet stood on his own like the kid who never gets picked for the footy team at school.

Firstly cos he is a t**t, secondly cos he is poo at everything he does(yes even racing golfs) and thirdly cos he is a plain an simple embarassment to all who are unfortunate enough to be in any way associated with him! [:D]

I would sell that clio mate and get a volvo! No one likes a f**kin volvo driver, you will be in good company;)

This thread is gonna get to ten pages isnt it? First one ive ever seen.

My post WAS of a sarcastic nature (in case ye hadn't noticed).

In simple terms , it was there to point out that a clio was a girlie car for people who might not be so good drivers?

I learnt to drive in a new clio and they aren`t all that bad. Yeah you get a french clutch but the handling is pretty responsive and for a modern car the feedbacks good too.
BUT a modern classic?!

who is this mk1golfgirlclagnut? As mentioned before he does come across as a spotty pre pube gimp-i put his anger down to his mother refusing to breast feed him and instead chose to tease him with her milk laden jubblies!

Clearly a case a post titty teasing agression  [:x]

I can't be bothered to read the whole of this thread so here's the answer to the only interesting question raised.

    Q. Was the Mk2 G60 badged as a GTI?

    A. Yes it was. It only had a G60 badge on the front grille, but the rear was badged like the 16v, with a 'Golf GTI' badge as normal on a mk2, with a small 'G60' underneath.

    Cheers,

    Drew.

i had a phase 1 clio some yrs ago....was 18 months old and had it a yr
had 2 clutch cable go,replaced clutch pedal(known fault but renault wouldnt stump up [:x] )2 front wheel bearing needed replacing(had to be cut out as a 5 ton hyd press wouldnt shift them [:x] )heater blew,5th gear bearing shattered in gearbox and rear brake would sieze badly....got rid of the bag of poo asap and it seems things arent much better after reading that renault forum
