Hey i am after a VW motorsport replica shifter for my MK2. G-werks tell me they no longer import them and have had no luck with the people they used to use. C.A.E

Anyone know of anyone in the UK that has them or imports them so as to make my life easier

I want to get the seat tubes in before i finish up the cage and need to know where stuff mounts before it goes away for paint.

    Thanks

Nice one, I need to know if I can fit a cable onto the bottom of the leaver to go backwards through the support tunnel. The cables on the back gearbox mount via the front on a custom made bracket, I suppose I could run longer cables and go round the back of the box though. Who makes custom length cables?

Hope your running the pickle this year Rob?

RCS Cables - sold in Uk by Ringspann Ltd (bedford), 01234 342511, I have one of their catalogues here if you give me some idea of what you want, i'll see if i can work our part numbers

bottom of lever has a m8 tapping so can fasten into it no probs

funny you should mention pickle - had the gearbox rebuilt and fitted it back in today, few special new bits in it ;) new vibratecnics race compound engine mounts (old VT ones were well sloppy after 5yrs use), rebuilt golf VR6 driveshafts.....rocking again. MOT next couple weeks and back in action. 1st sprint at Aintree end of April, hopefully a shakedown trackday before that. Exciting [:D]

I think Dubsport used the vwms type shifter on their cars, and could disconnect one engine's shifter cables so that they could run one engine.

    Rob,

Whats the goldy/brassy unit connected to the shifter, is it a spring pot to centralise the shifter?

Will have a look at the shifter to see which way I can run the cables, then decided on length of the cables, front ones will be as the original Corrado?MK4 length.

Must make a date to come and see the pickle, all plans went boobs up last year
