Cover for power steering belts?

    Cheers dude, good info... well i might go for a big bumper one...

    what was the part number for the big bumper one at VW?

    excellent stuff.... interesting...well might buy it might not now, depeneds, i think i need a new power steering pump anywayz..

    its keeps getting heavy ish or takes a while to catch up..

    Like I say, give SEAT a call too as the big bumper cover is the same as the one fitted to the Toledo :)

    WEll i have finally got around to rder this from the stealers :)

    In the pic on page one (the top one for big bumpers)

    The front bolt (9) - what does that screw into, it looks like the is a bracket that comes down from the bumper? i don't think i have that??

    Ok while I was underneath swaping my sump I noticed the bracket you need, thing is though if you have an 89 16v that means it wasn't originally a big bumper model so the bracket won't be there AFAIK?

    I'll have another look later and see about getting pics of it, I didn't pay much attention at the time I had other things on my mind ;)

    O bugger, i am picking it up from the stealers today!

    It's a November 89, so it's the 90'spec with the hazard on the coloum! - if that makes a difference?

    But if it's only a bracket i can get somehting knocked up very easily!

    Is that the only bolt i should worry about or are the other ones going to be different?

    If it has the hazard on the column then it should have the bracket, mine does and it hasn't even got PAS :)

    Yes sorry mate it was pouring it down yesterday! Luckily it stopped today long enough to sort out a piccy :)

    As you can see its spot welded onto the subframe, though by the looks of it mine wont be for much longer :lol:
