Know what you mean about busy life, 700 miles in the 3 days, missed seeing you by about 15 mins.
Car looks cracking in the sunshine @cupracraig .
Nice job on the wheels too.

bit of a shitter in that one of the wheel barrels seems to have developed a flat spot/dent since being at either the blasters or paint shop. so i'm going to have to send it off to be unbent!

well... could be one of two things.
    1: it was dropped
2: the blasting process warped it?

    new Trackslag 3.5" downpipe ordered.

Why.... well.. the Qpeng one i had when i bought the conversion items was shortened, i can only assume for a custom exhaust. So ive been using a coupler to keep the two together..this has worked well, but now its come loose, so time to change it for a longer downpipe for peace of mind.

This is a much chunkier downpipe but from all the reading i have done, the fit should be much better and actually provide a performance benefit.

The old pipe is fine, its probably just an inch shorter than i would like, so it will sell

You wont be disappointed, really nice piece of engineering, and very helpful too.
Just hope them packaging that up for you wont delay my R32 pipes.

Yeah, it's going in a late mk3 gti, not mine unfortunately, but I seem to be sourcing everything for him, and fitting.
May have another project planning for myself though,

yesterday was swap day: i didnt take any pictures under the car, but i made some adjustments to the exhaust hangers and now the fit is wonderful! sadly no under car pics for now.

Things i have noticed, i can hear the turbo a bit more, maybe <5% but noticed.
I'd say its a little more progressive with the power and not as spikey, i think this is just in my head though.

Car is actually quieter! i think this is generally because i've sorted the exhaust connection and it fits properly now.

Looking at them side by side the old one looks quite restrictive, rather than flowing like the new one.
    Cleared ok? Top job.

i think the Qpeng one is actually ok, its still 2.5" but all the way through which is pretty good. Having a complete trackslag system is nice though
