you'll need adaptors, which fulfill the role of spacers

theres a few members with them on - do a titles search puttting 'd90' in.

or PM Neath jmj, whos car this is:

    Love D90's on mk3's!
you will need adaptors though as Seraph says. you'll be wanting 5x100 to 5x130 ones.
my mate has them on his mk3....

mk3 golf gti's are a 5x100 stud pattern as standard as far as i know, mine is anyway! so you will need adaptors for 5x100 to 5x130.

I had them on my old VR6, I think the wheels were et52 and the 25mm spacer made them ET27???

    They were 16x8's

yes, they should do. my mate is running 7" fronts and 8" rears D90's (as i posted above) on his vr6, with the adaptor, which i assume is about 22-25mm thick, and his are fine. he has 195/40/16 tyres all round too.

Those tyres are pretty big if you plan to go low. I ran 215/45's on my D90's and all 4 wheels were 8" wide. Just need to watch the inside of the tyres on the arches at the front under a lot of steering lock and if you anything more than 60mm (If you get that far) you will have trouble with the outer portion of the tyre on the arch. Its pretty easy to roll/flatten the lip on the inside of the arches on a mk3. Especially if you're keeping the plastic arch trims on.
Did you see my post in your "how low" post?
