Design 90's on MK3 Golf

    I'd go with 195/40's on the 8's, not sure how fat these would be on the 6's though. my mates are 195/40's on his 7 and 8's.

    So even though the tyres are 225 at the moment i can change them onto 195's?? that right?? if so i didnt know that!

    195/40's on an 8" is a big stretch. My mate runs 195/40's on 7.5" audi wheels and its bordering on what I'd be comfortable throwing into a corner.

    I'd go 195/40 on the 6" at the front and 205/40 (or 45) on the 8" wide at the back.

    Also if anyones interested I've got 2 spare 16x8J mirror polished D90's complete with centre caps if anyones interested in a front width upgrade or any other combo for that matter! PM me if you're interested.

    sorry to hijack the thread a little, but whats the going rate for D90's?

    I have 195/45s on my 8x16s...a bit more sidewall so not as stretched as 195/40s

    I have just paid 250 for a set, with tyres though they are too big!! :lol:

    yeah i know they are in good nick too no scuffs or curbing! cant wait to get all my other parts now so that i can transform the car!!

    Right just put the tyres on the D90's! i have got 205/45/16 on the rear and 195/45/16 on the front!! all in 113 not bad though they are part worn!! but all matching Michelins!

    hi sorry to bring up old posts . just bought a set of d90s off ebay for my mk3 . was wondering if anyone has had any problems with the width of these wheels . they 7j front and 8j rear .

    my mk3 isnt lowerd at all but will be getting lowerd on coiles soon when i have the cash lol
