So some show winner wannabe has to nip to the Bentley dealer and shell nearly 4k (incl VAT) for 4 wheels, to which spacers are needed, to achieve the desired look.

We're in territory here which smells of improper earnings....

You would need to have one foot in the loony bin to be buying them from the dealer [:o)]

They just scream look at me, pleanty cash no imagination when I see them on Golfs, TTs, etc

although i would never spend that sort of cash for scene points I think its a really nice looking wheel, a lot nicer than 99% of the aftermarket gash you see on some X5's and similar

The porsche wheels that get put on mk2s are a lot more tastefull that them ''dem iz blingin boss ya get me'' bently wheels.

If I could I'd have early mk3 alloys on me mk2 but can't be arsed with the 5stud conversion bollo*

    I have a theory.

I reckon there are probably no more than about 3 or 4 sets of those Bentley wheels around that are not where they belong (on Bentleys). I suspect what's happening is that the same sets are kept a while, then sold on when the person needs a bit of cash for something else and then circulated like that so it seems many cars have them.

I would imagine that the wheels are obtained in the first place from a father with a Bentley and pots of money who wanted a new set and foisted the old ones onto the son/daughter.

I know someone who had Bentley wheels on his VW about 3 years ago. Everyone liked them then. I bet his are circulating.... He's probably started on lifting kits now. U wait, lowering will be so last year in a couple of months [:D]

i'm not scene at all, but i do like that TT. the wheels look good. and are probably extremely good quality and lightweight ?? being from a bently.
1400 sounds alot but you go and price up some bbs LM's and you probably only get 2 for that.

I like the solid simple look of them. These are what I have on atm, They're off a honda I got them off a guy who had them on his corrado. some days I like them, some I dont. Might get some g60 steels of a guy who is selling them from vw 120+vat says he has loads of sets.
